Mothering

Being a mom has been the greatest, most precious experience I have ever had. For me, becoming a mother had a rocky start. I was a teenage mother and gave birth to my firstborn out of wedlock. However, that experience and many more have been an incredible testament of how great God is to turn sorrow and pain and uncertainty into a rich blessing. I can’t think of anything aside from my marriage which has brought me more joy. As the mother of five and step mother of four grown children and now even being the “Grandarlin’” of 8 (so far) wonderful children, I feel that my cup overflows with special gifts from God!

I want to encourage you in your walk as a mom. It is not easy. It is not even for the faint of heart. But the experiences you are sure to have will be the ones that your heart holds dearest throughout your lifetime. Enjoy the moments…

  • Sweet hugs and wet kisses
  • Peanut butter fingers
  • Fists full of dandelions
  • Proud smiles
  • Snuggle time
  • Reading the same book over and over
  • Being asked “Why?” a million times
  • Realizing he grew an inch over night - literally
  • And so very much more…Sincerely,
    Melissa Ringstaff, Director
